DIGESTIVE ENZYMES: plant based is a proprietary blend of digestive enzymes derived from the fermentation action of fungi such as Aspergillus niger and Rhizopus niveus, microorganisms safely used in fermenting foods, including cheese, soy sauce, and yogurt. These non-animal derived enzymes support the assimilation of nutrients in foods and the digestion of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and vegetable matter. Directions: between one and four per meal, depending on size and complexity of the meal. Example: for more protein rich meals, I would recommend more than one, even up to four. You are attempting to get an idea how many are optimal to facilitate digestion with each type of meal. I recommend you take them near the end of the meal.
